New York Music Month Website Accessibility Statement
The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment is committed to ensuring its digital content is accessible to and usable by people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Our digital content is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to this accessibility standard. Compliance is not guaranteed or implied on any external links outside of this webpage, including brand and partner sites.
Full compliance to Level AA is limited due to 3rd party media content embedded on the page such as with YouTube/Video content, Social Media Feeds and content aggregated from multiple external contributors.
This website would conform WCAG 2.2 at level AA if the noted parts from uncontrolled sources were removed.
- Feedback: We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our digital content. Please let us know if you encounter accessibility issues by using the Website Accessibility Feedback Form. For general feedback unrelated to accessibility, please contact nymusicmonth@media.nyc.gov.
- Date: The NY Music Month Website Accessibility Statement was created on April 8, 2025.

Ongoing Efforts to Ensure Accessible Content
The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment has taken multiple steps to ensure the accessibility of the New York Music Month website:
- The New York City Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment retained Delasign as an independent third-party specialist to provide consultation on how to implement and improve accessibility.
- Delasign uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 as guiding principles. As we develop new pages and functionality, the principles of accessible design and development are an integral part of conception and realization.
- We continually test content and features for WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance both manually and with automated tools and remediate any issues to ensure we meet or exceed the standards. The following pages were audited:
- Landing Page:
- About Us:
- Conference Page:
