Join us for a powerful celebration of hip-hop history and culture at MC Sha-Rock Day, honoring the first female MC and a true pioneer of the genre. Taking place at Gun Hill Playground in the Bronx—the birthplace of hip-hop—this vibrant event pays tribute to MC Sha-Rock’s legacy and the trailblazers who laid the foundation. 

Hosted by hip-hop icon Roxanne Shanté, the day will feature live performances by Mr. Cheeks of The Lost Boyz and many more special guests. Legendary DJs will keep the crowd moving, spinning classic beats and celebrating the essence of Bronx-born sound. 

We will also honor the first generation of B-Boys, recognizing their impact and influence on hip-hop dance culture.
