Will Wells
Will Wells is a producer, songwriter, musical director, and audio engineer whose work spans music, film, television, and Broadway. Over the past two decades, he has collaborated with artists including Quincy Jones, Imagine Dragons, Logic, Wyclef Jean, DJ Premier, Pentatonix, Anthony Ramos, JP Saxe, Ashley Park, Danielle Brooks, Cynthia Erivo, and many more.
Will recently served as executive producer, producer, and co-writer of Cynthia Erivo’s sophomore album I Forgive You (Verve / Republic Records), following his work as executive producer on her debut album Ch. 1 Vs. 1. He also co-produced “Stand Up,” the Academy Award–nominated song from Harriet, which received Grammy, Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice, and NAACP Image Award nominations.
His recent film and television credits include serving as music producer and vocal producer for Emily in Paris Seasons 2–6, producing and orchestrating recordings for the Amazon Studios documentary John Candy: I Like Me, and arranging and producing for Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande on the Wicked: One Wonderful Night television special.
Since 2015, Will has served as Electronic Music Producer for Hamilton and was also a cast member in the Broadway production of Freestyle Love Supreme. He was the founding Program Director for BerkleeNYC’s Songwriting and Production master’s degree program and currently serves on the boards of the BMI Foundation, Salt Lick Incubator, and the Recording Academy New York Chapter.
