Syreeta Thompson

Syreeta Thompson, affectionately known as New York’s Trumpet Lady, is preparing to launch her latest single, a heartfelt tribute titled "With You I’m Born Again" honoring the iconic Syreeta Wright and Billy Preston. The track is set to drop in the summer of 2025. 

Fans have celebrated Syreeta Thompson for more than ten years, with her previous albums Winner and Evolution of a Winner debuting at No. 1 on both jazz and gospel charts. A Grammy Award winner, Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Rutgers University and a Master’s degree from NYU, where she specialized in film scoring, jazz composition, and arranging. 

Beyond the stage, she has developed over thirty music curricula for the New Jersey Education Association and is a committee member and Gala Chair for Lincoln Center’s Young Patrons.

Thompson is also shining a light on unsung female talent in her upcoming docuseries, Blow Yo Horn: Making Music in a Man’s World. This powerful series spotlights women instrumentalists, producers, and songwriters who continue to pursue their craft despite not yet achieving commercial fame.
