Alisa Ali is a dynamic radio DJ and audio producer at WFUV in New York City, where she hosts the weekday midday show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Known for her deep connection to the city’s music scene, Alisa is a passionate advocate for local artists. Her daily feature, NY Slice, highlights emerging and established musicians from across the five boroughs, giving listeners a curated taste of New York’s vibrant creative community. 

Beyond the airwaves, Alisa plays an integral role in WFUV’s FUV Live sessions, welcoming artists into the studio for intimate interviews and live performances that bring audiences closer to the music. Her work extends nationally as well—she is a contributor to NPR, where she has appeared on All Things Considered, the New Music Friday podcast, and the acclaimed Turning the Tables series. 

Committed to fostering the next generation of artists and music lovers, Alisa also leads community-focused initiatives, building partnerships with schools and nonprofit organizations such as the Bronx Music Hall.
